For some restaurants, they prefer to call it – Treasure Pot as it contains all the top-grade ingredients such as the abalone, fish maw, sea cucumber, dried oysters, dried scallops and etc in one big pot. That’s why sometimes, it is also known as Big Bowl Feast. A pot of Pen Cai is not cheap with the price tag starting from $188 but many people still want to buy one for their Chinese New Year dinner as it signifies Abundance and Prosperity.
In Singapore, you can find Pen Cai takeaway from hotels or restaurants; some of them even offer Pen Cai delivery to your doorstep. For your convenience, we have gathered a list of Pen Cai for your Lunar New Year dinner. Check them out as below.
Hong Kong Pen Cai （香港盆菜）
If you have tried the healthy double boiled soup at Chinatown Complex hawker center, you will know the chef – Master Shen (沈希师傅)。Every year, he and his daughter will specially make 500 set of Hong Kong style of Pen Cai for pre-ordering. The usual price for 5-6 person set is $168 and 10 person set is $238 but is offering now at $138 and $188 if you order before 20th January 2017.

Auspicious Treasure Pot (吉祥盆菜 )
There are three auspicious treasure pot offers by Umi Sushi this year. It includes the Auspicious Treasure Pot ($228), Classic Treasure Bundle ($238.88) and Deluxe Treasure Bundle ($268.88). The Classic Treasure Bundle is bundled with auspicious Treasure Pot and Prosperity Yu Sheng while the Deluxe Treasure Bundle has additional healthy party platter to go along with it. The Treasure Pot is served warm for delivery while self-collection will need reheating before consuming. The prices for the three treasure pots are valid before 27th Jan 2017 only.

Gim Tim Lunar New Year Takeaway Special consists of not only the Prosperous Treasure Pot “Peng Cai” but the Salmon Yu Sheng for Lo Hei and a Fried Rice with Waxed Meat wrapped in lotus leaf. The Treasure Pot is available in two sizes – small for 6 pax and big for 10 pax. The auspicious Pen Cai set from Bellygood has made your Chinese New Year feasting easier with an appetiser, entrée and beverage. If you like the Samsui Ginger Chicken (三水姜茸鸡) from Soup Restaurant, you will be delighted to know that they have included it in their Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner Set. However, the main focus will be their Seafood Treasure Pot with Boston Lobster where you can find all the premium ingredients in one pot. The Auspicious Treasure Pot from Deli Hub Catering is suitable for small family members gather together for a reunion dinner. They have the Deluxe version for 6 person ($198) and the Premium version ($288) for about 10 person. You can order a Great Abundance Yu Sheng to go along with it and toss the Chinese New Year with abundance and prosperity.
